of the covers: three catʾs tongue ornaments intersected in a circle with an infill
gilt dots and rosettes, a diagonal square of small squares, gilt dots and rays above
and under this ornament, the angled corners are filled with three rosettes, the frameborder
consits of square stamps in which four hatched lobes are arranged around a middle
square; central ornament of the envelope flap: diagonal square of arabesques, gild
dots and rays, in the corners an interlace pattern with gilt dots and rays; doublures
of the covers of embossed leather; doublure of the flap covered with leather
